Anh has a toothache (the story that started it all). Christine & Anh cannot believe how hard it is to find the nearest, best-rated dentist open on Monday.

All of 2014

Christine & Anh set out to digitize small businesses to make them easier to find online.

Fall 2014

Founders register MatjarX.com → the cheapest 4-letter domain name they could find (no, seriously). “You and I” resonated with what the company would be all about.

December 29, 2014

MatjarX is officially incorporated in the attic of Anh’s parents’ home.

2015 & 2016

MatjarX 1.0 a mobile app to help everyone find the cheapest, nearest, or best-rated local business. Two-sided marketplaces are hard, if you don’t have an endless marketing budget.

2017

MatjarX 2.0 the initial website and marketing product for local service businesses. MatjarX becomes one of the first whitelisting partners for Google My Business.

2021

MatjarX 3.0 broadened MatjarX to serve e-commerce businesses. Launched integrations with Google and Facebook early in the pandemic to grow our customers’ reach.
